Today on the 7th December 2016, West Africa’s Ghana head to the polls for the 7th time to elect their president and parliamentarians to form the next government.
Even though we have 7 presidential candidates, the main battle is the incumbent National Democratic Congress of John Dramani Mahama and the main opposition New Patriotic Party under the flag bearership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.
Election started 7am, It is now 11 : 30 am and we have so far been in 5 constituencies (Dome Kwabenya, Okaikwe North, Okaikwe Central and Drobo Constituency )and 8 polling stations to observe the situation of the election.
From our observations, we realized that so far the election is moving on smoothly and peacefully without any violence. Security service is also on their toes whiles electorates are eagerly casting their votes. From the information gathered in other parts of the country the atmosphere is also peaceful and serene. We shall do a follow up and report accurately till the end of the presidential and parliamentary election in Ghana.
