Valentine Ozigbo, a Nigerian business leader, philanthropist, and frontrunner in the Peoples Democratic Party for governorship, has joined the Onwusowulu family to pay his last respects to the family’s matriarch, Noble Lady Regina Onwusowulu, who passed away at the age of 77.

The late Lady Onwusowulu was Mrs Ebele Obi’s mother, a director at Techno Oil, and in-law to Mr Ndibe Obi, the elder brother to the immediate past governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Peter Obi.

At the ceremony held in Agulu, Anaocha LGA, Anambra State, Mr Ozigbo eulogized the late Lady Onwusowulu as a woman of virtue who touched many lives positively.

The respected business leader also described her as “a loving mother whose absence has left an enormous vacuum in the Onwusowulu family and everyone who was privileged to contact her”.

Ozigbo, who is the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, went on to urge the bereaved to uphold the legacy their matriarch left behind.

He also prayed that God would grant her soul eternal rest and give the entire Onwusowulu family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Several notable personalities in both business and political class, including former Governor Peter Obi, attended the funeral ceremony.

Ozigbo was accompanied on the condolence visit by a former member of both the Anambra State House of Assembly and the Federal House of Representatives, Barrister Valentine Ayika; a former member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Sir Tim Egboka, and several others.
