Chief Afamefuna called on the attention of the Governor of Anambra State
FACE OF AGULU- When you come to Anambra State, Agulu, is among the most populous communities but, they’ve been in crises since the past Town union Election conducted on December 30, 2020, which warranted President-General of Agulu Peoples Union (APU) Chief Oliver Afamefuna in a press conference in Agulu yesterday. Chief Oliver Afamefuna expressed how surprised he was about the ongoing crises in Agulu since after December 30th 2020 PG election, knowing too well that “government representatives was on ground and witnessed election which he professed was free, fair and peaceful ”, yet government went ahead and constituted a caretaker committee to run the community.
Chief Afamefuna called on the attention of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Sir William Obiano (Akpokuedike) to strongly look into the present situations in Agulu community and quickly do something about it before more harm befall the community. He further urged the state government to intervene in the lingering crisis that followed its Town union Election conducted on December 30, 2020.
