Valentine Ozigbo, a leading gubernatorial aspirant in Anambra State, has reiterated his dedication to using Anambra to set a standard for governance.
He made the promise on Sunday, January 31, 2021 when visited Orumba North Constituency as part of his ongoing state-wide constituency tour.
The visit to Orumba North, one of 30 state constituency visits that Ozigbo is undertaking, was held in Ajalli at the residence Chief Okey Enekwe.
While addressing party faithfuls at the event, Mr. Ozigbo enthused that the time was right for Anambra to live up to its full potentials.
Ozigbo, who is the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, urged the people to unite behind his grand vision for the greater good of the state.
“We must ensure that we get it right this time. Anambra has great potential which when properly harnessed will lead to transformation as comparable to what we witness in more developed climes,” Ozigbo declared.
“What I am promising Ndi Anambra is that I will make them proud,” he said.
“For the past twenty five years, I have dedicated my life to improving the lot or several organizations in various capacities and in diverse sectors, and Anambra State will not be an exception,” he added.
The respected business leader further expressed his appreciation to his supporters in the constituency, thanking them for their steadfast support and for being early believers in the #KaAnambraChawapu project.
Ozigbo seized the opportunity to recognize and appreciate some stakeholders who have identified with and supported him since inception.
Some of these leaders include former PDP Local Government Chairmen, Mazi Fabian Nwosu and Alexander Nwosu; a former Council Chairman, Chief Okey Enekwe; a former Councillor representing Nanka Ward, Chief Ikechukwu Ezenwankwo; a former leader of Orumba North Council, Honourable Damien Nwafor; a Permanent Secretary in Anambra State, Ogbaji Nwabuonu; businessman and philanthropist, Honourable Obinna Okoli; community leaders, Joel Oti and Ichie Ogumere; and the woman leader of the VCO campaign in Orumba North, Calista Orizu.
Keeping with the tradition of the tour which began in December, 2020, Ozigbo distributed bags of rice, cooking ingredients and souvenirs.
Ozigbo was accompanied by some members of his campaign organization including a former member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honorable Tim Egboka; a former Speaker of the Anambra State Aseembly and a two-time member of the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Eucharia Azodo; a former woman leader of the PDP in Anambra State, Dame Love Ebeh.
Others are PDP chieftain, Chief Tony Offiah; Honourable Peter Umeonwuka and Mrs Oby Mezi.
