Anambra Ohanaeze Youth Council kicks over Mbosi killings

Operatives of the Nigerian Army have allegedly bombed a civilians residential building in Mbosi Community, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, killing three children.

The State Chairman, Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), Anambra State, Comrade Onuoha Endurance Eberechukwu, reacted sharply to the “barbaric” attack against hapless Mbosi civilians.

Comrade Onuoha condemned the Mbosi attack in the strongest terms.

Onuoha, in a press release, described the the attack as “gruesome bombing of civilians”.

He also described the action as “despicable assault that claimed the lives of three innocent children from one family”.

He said that “the act is not only barbaric and inhumane, but a clear violation of international humanitarian laws.

“…It represents a disturbing escalation of violence against our people.

“The use of military firepower against unarmed civilians is a disgrace that must not be tolerated in any civilized society,” he fumed.

Onuoha further decried the silence of relevant authorities, including the state governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

He further lambasted other lawmakers, especially those representing Mbosi and other affected areas.

He called for an immediate, impartial and transparent investigation to identify and prosecute the perpetrators of the crime.

“The Federal Government must not continue to turn a blind eye while innocent Igbo civilians are slaughtered in their homes.
