As BBA 9 begins this Sunday, MultiChoice offers DStv subscribers option to opt out…IK Osakioduwa returns as host

As lovers of Big Brother Africa, the biggest reality show on the continent, prepare to be glued to their screens for the next three months, this new season tagged Big Brother Hotshots, has all the ingredients of a blockbuster as the housemates go into the house on September 7, with the sole aim of grabbing the winning prize of USD 300, 000.

Public Relations Manager, DStv, Caroline Oghuma, while disclosing this in a press statement sent to SHOWBIZPLUSng also noted that subscribers have the option of opting out of viewing the programme at any time during its duration. “To do so, all you need to do is to text “NO” and the first 10 digits of your smartcard number to 30333. Regular SMS charges apply.
Additionally, parents who opt to remain connected during Big Brother Africa, can use the parental control feature on their decoders to restrict viewing. “All you have to do is to access the Menu button on the decoder, then click on parental control. You will be asked to set a four digit code to restrict viewing for any length of time you wish,” she said.
Oghuma pointed out that the new season of the reality show will showcase housemates with hidden talents, who adore the spotlight and will let nothing stand in the way of their pursuit of fame and fortune. She also explained that the housemates will start the game in two ultra-glamorous houses which are built with magic and fun in mind. For 91 days, they will do their best to outshine one another in the hope of convincing Africa that they are the continent’s biggest Hotshots. “They will party like A-listers, rub shoulders with celebrity guests and face formidable challenges – all the while negotiating Biggie’s famous curveballs and twists,” she remarked.
The logo for Big Brother Hotshots hints at the glamorous aspects of this season – but viewers will have to stay tuned 24/7 to see what Biggie has planned for the talented group of housemates!
Oghuma said that IK Osakioduwa returns for the sixth stint as host and will taunt, tease, comfort and dance with the housemates on the Big Brother stage.
Produced by Endemol, Big Brother Hotshots kicks off on September 7 at 19:00 CAT and run 24/7 on DStv channels 197 and 198, with the best of the live highlights shown on GOtv.
