23781996_10155881880876912_670618524_nBig 30 fun club an Accra-based humanitarian non-governmental organisation (NGO) on Thursday made a visit to the inmates and  also presented assorted items for the upkeep of inmates of the Nsawam Medium Prisons, at Nsawam in the Eastern Region.

The items included; soft drinks, boxes of biscuits, used clothing, sanitary wares, toiletries, slippers and other consumables.
Mr Tawia Augustine, the President of BIG 30 club said the donation was to show love, give hope to the inmates and help relieve them of insufficient logistics that they had

He said the visit was also to support street boys mothers and fathers serving jail terms.
Mr Augustine said the BIG 30 established in 2014, sought to bridge the gap between poverty.
He said the organisation offer love and assistance every year to the newly born babies in Achimota hospital  and supports to children and motherless babies , especially the orphans in deprived communities.
He said BIG 30 promotes empowerment, rehabilitation, welfare and social justice of the vonurable.
Mr Augustine said the organisation was committed to supporting the less privileged children in the society.
The Head of the Prison who received the items on behalf of the inmates, said the timely donation would solve some of the socio-economic challenges facing the prisoners.
He said the prison equipped the inmates with employable skills through effective trade training programmes to enhance their livelihood after their release.
he commended the NGO for the gesture and called on other benevolent institutions to come to their aid to help reform the inmates to contribute to national development
