MY SABOTEURS PAID ANAS $400,000 TO BRING ME DOWN – KWESI NYANTAKYI
Former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA),
Kwesi Nyantakyi has revealed that persons at the football body
who never liked him paid a whopping amount of $400,000 to
investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye
PI team to bring him down.
According to Mr Nyantakyi, other FA officials who wanted to see
his back, planned to disgrace him; they carried out this motive
with the help of the private investigative firm.
Speaking on NET 2 TV as monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com
on Thursday which is his first public speech since the issue
erupted in June last year, he described Tiger Eye PI as a criminal
organization that operates like terrorists group Islamic State of
Iraq and Syria commonly referred to as ISIS.
Anas asked a Lawyer who teaches in Legon to ask me for
150,000 dollars project, he even demanded 400,000 because
that is the amount of money that the people who wanted me out
of the FA paid him to conduct the investigations on me…,” he
said.
He said the group demanded for money in order not to release
the footage but when he was not forthcoming they decided to go
ahead with the premiering just to embarrass him.
“Yes they demanded for money through lawyer who is also a
lecturer at Legon. When the money was not coming they decided
to premiere the video dubbed number 12”, he revealed.
Anas Aremeyaw Anas late last year dared those who claimed the
former GFA official was trapped to seek legal interpretation in
the law courts since that is the only avenue available to them to
prove the contrary that he was not trapped.
