“When one sees how some reporters work, one is inclined to have pity on editors. There is no way an Editor would stay in Lagos and know exactly what is happening in all parts of the country. Reporting that Obi claimed he missed his flight is what no Editor will doubt and therefore will not ask questions before such news are published, because there is absolutely no need for that. I am sure on discovery that the news was false, editors will utterly be disappointed because such antics is beneath Journalism’s dignity”, Obienyem said.

On Stakeholders’ meeting under reference, Obienyem said that when Obi was the Governor, that he organized series of stakeholders’ meeting and was naturally happy that his successor was doing the same for the overall good of the State.

Obienyem cautioned Nigerians to be wary of antics of haters of Anambra who are not happy about the cordial relationship existing between Obi and his successor and are doing everything possible to create non-existing enmity. “Look at them and their laughable antics. Some are even put all sorts of advisements under non-existing organizations trying to plant seeds of discord. We know those behind those childish pranks, some of whom are top party members, but we cannot condescend low to banter words with them, more still the man they think they will tarnish his image has moved on”, Obienyem Concluded.
