Justin Kingland Reacts to Oseloka Obi’s Statement
Hon. Amb. Justin Kingland has expressed admiration for the recent mature and thoughtful response from Oseloka Obi, son of Mr. Peter Obi, describing it as “a remarkable show of discipline and family values.”
He particularly commended Oseloka’s declaration: “I was trained to know that my father’s wealth is not mine; I have to work for my own money.” According to Hon. Kingland, this aligns perfectly with the values Mr. Peter Obi has always preached to Nigerians living with integrity, building personal responsibility, and earning through hard work.
He further noted that Oseloka’s stance “I am not voting for my father because he is my father, but because he is the right man for the job at a time when Nigeria’s economy is in a mess” resonates deeply with millions of Nigerians. “Even Tinubu knows that the presidency he sits on right now truly belongs to Peter Obi,” Hon. Kingland Noted.
Recalling his own experiences, Hon. Kingland said he understood Oseloka’s plight, having faced similar false accusations in the past. He stressed that such attacks cut deeply, but Oseloka’s calm, dignified, and principled defense shows the strength of his upbringing and the values instilled in him.
