This was Daniel Amokachi’s views of a coach that did not qualify for the‪#‎AFCON‬ in 2011.

Please read and tell me why he and his boss are still hanging on to the job after turning over exactly the same result.

Ex-Eagles star Daniel Amokachi has wondered why Samson Siasia is still Eagles coach as he also questioned the handling of star players by his former teammate.
“Falcons coach did not perform and she was sacked, so why are the NFF still leaving the coach who did not qualify for the Nations Cup?” asked Amokachi, who has consistently queried Siasia’s professionalism.

“Nigeria need a manager who can manage the players, not someone who keeps fighting with them.”

This is in reference to Siasia’s much-publicised rows with Osaze Odemwingie and Vincent Enyeama.

Amokachi has equally put himself forward for the Eagles top post.
“I have not applied for the job, but certainly I will do that when the position is declared vacant,” said the one-time Eagles assistant coach. “I have the certificate and I am now a coaches’ instructor in Europe.

“I have been there before even winning the WAFU Cup with unknown players. I brought out players like Fengor Ogude and Ahmed Musa. I can manage them effectively.”

Sunday Oliseh, Amokachi’s teammate during the Golden Generation of Nigeria football, has also offered to take over the Eagles, but Amokachi questioned his coaching experience.

“He doesn’t have the pedigree. He’s just like Siasia. There is a difference between coaching under-age teams and the Super Eagles,” argued Amokachi.
